Dead spots, random dropouts, and “the internet is fine on the phone but not the laptop” are usually a placement, channel, or mesh problem - not a cursed laptop. Restarting the modem every afternoon is not a network design.

Onsite I check the ISP modem, router mode, and whether extra access points are fighting each other. For larger homes I use systems like ASUS AiMesh so one name covers the house instead of a pile of conflicting SSIDs. Then I test from the rooms that actually matter: office, TVs, and the far bedroom.

A good Wi-Fi job ends with coverage where people sit, not a green light on the router.

I also write down the new passwords and leave a simple note. Non-technical clients should not have to guess which box to reboot. That is the same handover I use on Geeks2U and PC Scientist jobs across the Northern Beaches, North Shore, and Central Coast.
