After a malware or scam hit

A scare pop-up, a locked browser, or a “Microsoft support” phone call is stressful. The machine might still boot, so it feels safer to ignore. That is when saved passwords and email get reused on the next scam.

Cleanup is only half the job. I remove the malware, lock down the browser, turn on real antivirus, and walk through Microsoft or Google account security - MFA, recovery email, and any sessions that should be signed out. If data matters, we back it up before a rebuild, not after.

The visit is finished when the client knows how they were caught and what to refuse next time.

I do this work for elderly and non-technical clients on purpose. No shame, no leftover jargon. If you need that help in NSW, call or use pcscientist.com.
